September 2026 Sunday Services

Sunday September 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Gail DeVilbiss will lead this in-person service, titled ‘We Rise Together, We Thrive Together.’ DeVilbiss will present a service on Labor Day. We will explore the idea that ‘No One is Self made’. We will honor the work of our hands, the wisdom of our hearts, and the Community that carries us all. Visitors are welcome. Please join us for coffee, snacks and conversation downstairs following the service.

Sunday September 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Gail DeVilbiss and Julie Boles will lead our annual in-person Water Communion service. This service marks the end of summer, when friends and members return from their summer travels. It includes the Mingling of the Waters ritual, also called Water Ceremony or Water Communion, a UU way to witness both to the elements and to the spiritual quality of life. Please bring water from a special place, in your travels or nearby, to symbolically join with others of our Fellowship and our previous water ceremonies. A pitcher of water will also be available to symbolically share. Visitors are welcome to the service, and after the service, please join us downstairs for coffee, snacks and conversation.

Sunday September 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Diane Schwitz will lead this in-person service with a time for sharing. Visitors are welcome.

At MTVUUF we value each individual’s spiritual journey, and believe there is no one right way to lead a religious and spiritual life.  We welcome all who find in these friendships strength and encouragement for daily living.

August 2026 Services

Sunday August 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Update: Mike and Gail DeVilbiss will lead an in-person service with several spiritual readings focusing on lessons and special ways to connect to the challengingly environment. Visitors are welcome. Please join us for coffee, snacks and conversation downstairs following the service.

Sunday August 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Gail DeVilbiss will lead this in-person Open Readings service. You are invited to share readings, poems, brief articles and music about topics of interest to UUs. At MTVUUF we value each individual’s spiritual journey, and believe there is no one right way to lead a religious and spiritual life.  We welcome all who believe that religion is wider than any sect and deeper than any set of opinions.  We welcome all who find in these friendships strength and encouragement for daily living. Please join us for coffee, snacks and conversation following the service. Visitors are welcome.

Sunday August 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Julie Boles will lead an in-person service on “How to Get Through Disappointment.” Visitors are welcome. Please join us for coffee, snacks and conversation downstairs following the service.

Sunday August 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Mike DeVilbiss will lead this in-person service, “Am I My Keeper?” This service will consider just a few aspects of our responsibilities to other people. Visitors are welcome. Please join us for coffee, snacks and conversation downstairs following the service.

On Sunday August 30 at 10:00 a.m., Susan Trotter will lead this Open Reading Service on Zoom. You are invited to share readings,  thoughts and experiences on topics   of interest to UUs or related to the UU principles or the new UU Shared Beliefs and Values.  Open readings can be some of our most meaningful services, reflecting the diversity of our Fellowship.
