Visitors are welcome to join us, in person at 1600 Isabella, Mt Vernon, for in-person services the first three weeks of the month, and also visitors are welcome on the last Sunday on Zoom.  To request the Zoom login link, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org  Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list.

On Sunday December 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., Gail DeVilbiss will lead this in-person service, focused on “Peace and What it Means to You.” We will begin the service by lighting the first candle for Advent, for Hope. Looking ahead to January 1, Gail notes that on that date will be the annual hour of peace, so we will look at ways we can participate as a fellowship (since we will be together for our annual New Years Day potluck).  On Dec 3, we light the first candle for Advent, for Hope. Please join us downstairs after the service for coffee and conversation.

All throughout December, MTVUUF will collect warm mittens and hats for children at the Mt. Vernon Primary Center again. Please add your cozy donations under the tree.

On  Sunday, December 10 at 10:00 a.m., Roberta Price will lead this in-person Open Reading service on the theme of Hanukkah. Please bring readings, poetry, or music to share, on Hanukkah or a theme of your choice. We light the second candle for Advent, for Peace.  Please join us downstairs after the service for snacks, coffee and conversation.

As we believe there is no one right way to lead a religious or spiritual life and we value each individual’s spiritual journey, Open Readings services help us learn about each other’s paths, and can be some of our most special services.

On Sunday, December 17, at 10:00a.m., Mike DeVilbiss will lead this in-person Discussion service. We will select a discussion topic at random from a collection of ethical issues, after which Mike will lead a discussion in which everyone is invited to participate.
