April 2023 Sunday Services

Visitors are welcome to join us, in person at 1600 Isabella, Mt Vernon, for in-person services the first three weeks of the month, and also visitors are welcome on the last Sunday on Zoom.  To request the Zoom login link, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org  Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list.   The Board will continue to assess the masking and in-person vs Zoom situation each month,  In keeping with our caring principles, masks are encouraged for in-person services.

On Sunday April 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., please join us in-person for an Open Reading service led by Theresa Rowe.  A coffee hour follows the service.

On Sunday April 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., please join us in-person for this  service led by Theresa Rowe and Mary Scharlemann, who will share readings and also welcome readings from the congregation. Please join us for snacks, coffee and conversation after the service.

On Sunday, April 16 at 10:00a.m., Mike DeVilbiss will lead this in person Discussion Service. We will select a discussion topic at random from a collection of ethical issues, after which Mike will lead a discussion in which everyone is invited to participate.  Please join us at 1600 Isabella Avenue in Mt Vernon as we gather in fellowship.  Visitors are welcome to join us downstairs after the service for snacks, coffee, and conversation. ,”

On  Sunday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m., please join us for this in-person Earth Day service, “A World of Colors,” led by Gail DeVilbiss. Gail describes “Our beautiful earth presents itself every day in living color. You can experience colors in all the variations while spending time outdoors. Consider just one color, say green. The shades are infinite. Join us on Sunday to explore the colors of our world through song, readings, and a short meditation.”  Everyone is welcome.  Please join us for coffee and conversation downstairs following the service. The Board Meeting, rescheduled from last week,  will follow the  social hour.

On Sunday, April 30, at 10:00 a.m., Susan Trotter will lead this Open Reading service on Zoom. You are invited to bring poetry, a reading, or music to share during the service. If you have music to share, please email music links or files to uufmtvsec@gmail.com . As we believe there is no one right way to lead a religious or spiritual life and we value each individual’s spiritual journey, Open Readings services help us learn about each other’s paths, and can be some of our most special services. Visitors are welcome.
