December 2022 Sunday Services

Visitors are welcome to join us, in person at 1600 Isabella, Mt Vernon, on the first three Sundays this month at 10 AM, and there will be no zoom service this month. In keeping with our caring principles, masks are encouraged for in-person services. The Board will continue to assess the masking and in-person vs Zoom situation each month

On  Sunday, December 4, at 10:00 a.m., Theresa Rowe will lead an in-person Open Readings service. Please bring a short reading or music to share, if you are so inclined. A social hour will follow the service. Donations of mittens and hats are being collected now through the end of the year for children in grades K – 3.

On Sunday, December 11, at 10:00 a.m., guest speaker Bob Mooney will speak about moving away from fundamentalism, in “The Warm Blanket of Certainty: the Allure of Simple Answers.” This is an in-person service. Please join us for a coffee hour after the service.

On Sunday, December 18, at 10:00a.m.,  Mike DeVilbiss will lead a “Discussion Service.”  We will select a discussion topic at random from a collection of ethical issues, for discussion  in which everyone is invited to participate.    Visitors are welcome to join us downstairs after the service for snacks, coffee, and conversation. The Board Meeting will follow the  social hour.

On Friday, December 23, at 6:30 p.m., please join us for an evening with friends, including sweets and coffee, hosted by Larry. Bring a favorite holiday treat to share.CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER–to be rescheduled, watch for details.

On Sunday, December 25, there will be no service. Enjoy the holiday with friends and family!
