November 2022 Sunday Services

In November we will have in-person services the first three weeks of the month, and the last Sunday on Zoom. The Board will continue to assess the masking and in-person vs Zoom situation each month,  In keeping with our caring principles, masks are encouraged for in-person services. To request the Zoom login link, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org  Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list.

On  Sunday, November 6, at 10:00 a.m., Julie Quinn will lead this in-person service, “Martha and Mary, A Reminder to live in the Moment.”  A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, November 13, at 10:00a.m., Glenn Moreton will lead this  in-person service, “Preparation for Thanksgiving Day: Musings on Being Thankful (Even If You Don’t Quite Feel That Way).”  A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m., the Mt. Vernon Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hold a Thanksgiving  in-person service on the theme, “Everyone is Welcome at our Table ” Gail DeVilbiss will also discuss the ‘real’ story of Thanksgiving. Music will center on giving thanks an being grateful.Please join us at 1600 Isabella Avenue in Mt Vernon as we gather in fellowship.  Visitors are welcome to join us downstairs after the service for snacks, coffee, and conversation. The Board Meeting will follow the  social hour.

On Sunday, November 27, at 10:00 a.m., Roberta Price will lead this Open Reading service on Zoom. You are invited to bring poetry, a reading, or music to share during the service. If you have music to share, please email music links or files to uufmtvsec@gmail.com . As we believe there is no one right way to lead a religious or spiritual life and we value each individual’s spiritual journey, Open Readings services help us learn about each other’s paths, and can be some of our most special services. Visitors are welcome.
