July 2021 Sunday Services

July 2021 Sunday Services

In keeping with our caring and sharing principles, please wear a mask.

On July 4, at 10:00 a.m., Gail DeVilbiss  will lead our Open Readings service. You are invited to bring  readings or music to share, which could be on a patriotic theme, or on any theme.  Open Readings can be some of our most meaningful services, reflecting the diversity of our Fellowship. The monthly Board meeting will follow the service and coffee hour.

On July 11, at 10:00 a.m., Mike DeVilbiss  will lead a service on “”Visions of Hell”, followed by the Annual Membership Meeting.

July 11 will be the Annual Congregational Membership Meeting, following the Sunday services. After hearing feedback from the Fellowship, we will also have our potluck luncheon after the meeting, so you’re welcome to bring your favorite specialty dish.

On July 18, at 10:00 a.m., Theresa Rowe will lead our Open Readings Service. Please bring readings or music, if you are inspired to share. Open Readings can be some of our most interesting and special services.

Sunday July 25, at 10:00 a.m. Luke Crawford will lead our Open Readings service on Zoom on the theme “We Are Stardust.”   You are invited to bring readings or music to share focused on the cosmos and the UU 7th principle, respect for the interdependent web of all existence.  It is in celebration of the founding of NASA and the first manned moon landing – both of which took place in late July. Open Readings can be some of our most diverse and special services.  Please email music links or files to lukesanfordcrawford@gmail.com .
The last service of each month will continue on Zoom. This week we start with a NEW Zoom meeting number, which will be emailed to frequent attendees on 7/22.  Visitors are welcome. To request the meeting number and link to join us on Zoom, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org. You can access Zoom on computer, tablet or smartphone, OR you can join the gathering by phone only.
Thank you to Luke for leading our open readings service from Guadalajara. After the closing music, let’s take a break for 3 min for folks to get coffee/snacks, then enjoy coffee and conversation.

Please join us after Sunday services for coffee and conversation.
