On Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Gail DeVilbiss will lead Sunday’s in-person s service. We will discuss AWE. Gail will highlight the eight wonders of life based on the book ‘AWE’ ; The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life by Dacher Keltner. Please join us downstairs after the service for coffee and conversation.
On Sunday May 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Theresa Rowe, assisted by Mary Scharlemann, will present this in-person Sunday service with the topic “Mother and Mary.” Mother’s Day falls within the month of May, and May has traditionally been dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Please join us after the service for coffee and conversation.
On Sunday May 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., please join us for this in-person Open Reading Service led by Mike DeVilbiss. Please bring music or a reading on the topic of interest to UUs, if you are inspired to read. Open Readings can be some of our most interesting services. As we believe there is no one right way to lead a religious or spiritual life and we value each individual’s spiritual journey, Open Readings services have helped us learn about each other’s paths.
A brief Annual Congregation Meeting will follow the May 19 service. Please join us downstairs after the service and meeting for coffee and conversation. Note: this year there will not be a potluck meal after the meeting.
On Sunday May 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Susan Trotter will lead this Open Reading Service on Zoom, on the theme of Memorial Day. Visitors are welcome. For Zoom information please email information@mtvernonuuf.org . A virtual social hour follows the service.
