April 2022 Sunday Services

Visitors are welcome to join us, in person at 1600 Isabella, Mt Vernon, on the first three Sundays this month at 10 AM, and on Zoom on the last Sunday of the month, 10 AM. To request the Zoom login link, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org  You can dial in to Zoom on a voice phone (need not be a smart phone), or use the Zoom link for computer, tablet or smartphone. Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list.

In April we will continue with in-person services the first three weeks of the month, and the last Sunday on Zoom. In keeping with our caring principles,  masks are encouraged in-person. The Board will continue to assess the masking and in-person vs Zoom situation each month.

On Sunday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m., Gail DeVilbiss will lead this in-person Open Readings service on celebrating Earth Month (Earth Day) with poetry and readings. If you would like to share an earth based/environmental reading please bring to share with our members. In keeping with our caring principles, please wear a mask. A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m.,  Roberta Price will lead this week’s in-person Open Readings Service with the topic of “Palm Sunday,” with an introduction on why it is celebrated and its history. Please bring readings to share on this topic or other topics of interest to UUs. Open Readings can be some of our most meaningful services, reflecting the diversity of our Fellowship.  A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, April 17, at 10:00a.m., Gail DeVilbiss will lead this in-person service on the theme of Resurrection.   A social hour will follow the service. The Board Meeting will follow the social hour.

On Sunday, April 24, at 10:00 a.m.,  Susan Trotter will lead this Open Reading service “Sowing Seeds, in Life and Gardening” on Zoom.  For this Open Readings service, Susan invites people to bring along any tips, readings or advice that they would like to offer, related to the topics.

On the last Sunday of each month services will be held on Zoom. Visitors are welcome. Please email information@mtvernonuuf.org for the zoom login info.  Unitarian Universalists value each individual’s spiritual journey. We believe in reason, freedom, equality, and love. Join us as we gather in fellowship.
