June 2022 Sunday Services

In June we will continue with in-person services the first three weeks of the month, and the last Sunday on Zoom. In keeping with our caring principles, masks are encouraged for in-person services. The Board will continue to assess the masking and in-person vs Zoom situation each month

Visitors are welcome to join us, in person at 1600 Isabella, Mt Vernon, on the first three Sundays this month at 10 AM, and on Zoom on the last Sunday of the month, 10 AM. To request the Zoom login link, please email information@mtvernonuuf.org  You can dial in to Zoom on a voice phone (need not be a smart phone), or use the Zoom link for computer, tablet or smartphone. Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our monthly email list.

On Sunday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m., Susan Trotter will lead this in-person Open Readings service on the theme of Milestone Events. You are welcome to bring poetry, a reading, or music to share about a personal or societal milestone. Open Readings can be some of our most special services as we learn about each individual’s unique spiritual paths. A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m., Diane Schwitz will lead this in-person  Service on “Silence”.   A social hour will follow the service.

On Sunday, June 19, at 10:00a.m.,  Roberta Price will lead this in-person Open Readings Service for LGBTQ Pride Month and Father’s Day.   You are invited to bring poetry, a reading, or music to share during the service. A social hour will follow the service. The Board Meeting will follow the  social hour.

On Sunday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m., Greg and Marji Gibbs will lead this service on zoom on acceptance, including a recorded guest sermon from the Rev Sharon Dittmar of the MidAmerica  Region of Unitarian Universalist Association. Dittmar uplifts and celebrates our humanity, noting many of us spend a good deal of time trying to meet societal norms, in defiance of our diversity as we find it.  We “are extraordinary in our  divergence and beauty. The myth is that there is one standard of health, beauty, and normalcy.”  Visitors are welcome. For zoom information please email information@mtvernonuuf.org . A virtual social hour follows the service.
