About Us

625chalice_sample       Welcome to the website of the Mt. Vernon Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (MVUUF).  We are an emerging UU fellowship located at 1600 Isabella Avenue, in the city of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  We hold services every Sunday at 10 a.m. We are lay-led, so each service is different. Come on out and see what we are all about!

In 2005, our Fellowship focused on the following as our mission statement for the MVUUF:

“Embracing Diversity, Welcoming Everyone,

We, the members of this fellowship, agree to affirm and promote the seven principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association, and to strive to enable spiritual, intellectual, ethical, and emotional growth for all ages, work for compassionate justice, and respect the interdependence of all existence.”

We are a Welcoming Congregation, which welcomes diversity of race, sexual orientation, age, abilities, culture, religious backgrounds, and beliefs.
